I have been working on the HMRC Mobile App as the lead product and interaction designer. Working closely with the Product Owner I have been responsbile for helping set the vision for the app.

During this time we have transformed it from a collection of individual screens into a cohesive user experience and fully accessible app. We’ve built a fully open source mobile app component library based on GDS standards and implemented Open Banking in the app enabling customers to pay bills quicker and easier, making HMRC one of the first tax authorities in the world to utilise this technology.

The app is often used as an example of mobile app best practice in Government.
